La Societé pour L’ Art Equestre – The Society for the Preservation of Equestrian Arts – was created to serve the following mission:

• To preserve the Equestrian Art in the face of unprecedented challenge
• To enhance the well-being of the horse and rider through education
• To archive and disseminate the compassionate, sustainable teachings of Mestre Dominique Barbier
• To create and disseminate educational books, lectures and DVD’s to enhance the understanding of Mestre Barbier’s methods. A DVD on the biomechanics of the shoulder in and a book and DVD to encourage com- pliance with and understanding of the FEI rules for dressage competitions will be our first topics.
